Reuse, Recycle, Repurpose
Our new restaurant interior is designed with zero waste and sustainability at its core. In creating our new home, we embrace this philosophy by using locally sourced and sustainable materials to craft a welcoming space. Each element enhances your dining experience and tells a meaningful story, reflecting our commitment to sustainability.
-
Reclaimed Wood
We partner with HKTimberbank, which upcycles locally sourced trees felled by typhoons, urban development, or old age, which would otherwise end up in landfills. These woods feature prominently throughout our restaurant, from the entrance panel to our sculptural icon, the Bottle Tree, as well as our tables and VIP room. We invite you to explore the history behind each piece of wood with us.
-
Bar Counter
The bar counter showcases a stunning paint job by local artist Eunis Cheung, who has crafted a unique finish using paint made from recycled materials, including stone and oyster shell. This artistic touch not only enhances the aesthetic of our space but also reflects our commitment to sustainability and supporting local talent.
-
Marble Flooring
The floor features recycled marble, skillfully broken into pieces and reshaped into a vibrant blend of colors that captures the essence of nature's beauty, celebrating the beauty of repurposed resources.
-
Chairs
We’re giving a second life to chairs from the former Roganic by upgrading them with leftover fabric materials from other projects. This initiative aligns perfectly with our zero-waste philosophy, allowing us to enhance our space while minimizing waste and celebrating sustainable practices.
We are excited to partner with HKTimberbank to create our new home. HKTimberbank is an eco-social enterprise focused on fostering a sustainable and circular bioeconomy by upcycling locally sourced trees that have been felled due to typhoons, urban development, or old age—materials that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Through HKTimberbank, these resources are transformed into stunning designer furniture and building elements. We are honored to incorporate these sustainably sourced pieces into our restaurant’s decor.
These woods are used throughout our restaurant, from the wood panel at the entrance to our sculptural icon - Bottle Tree, as well as our tables and VIP room.
Each tabletop is crafted from unique wood, each with its own beautiful story. We encourage our guests to scan the QR code on each tabletop to explore the history behind every piece, enriching your dining experience.
